The car
The Aventador SV revived the Superveloce name last used on the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce. Lamborghini developed it to a “Design to Weight” brief, cutting mass wherever it could: the coupe’s dry weight is 1,525 kg, and the SV Roadster is 50 kg lighter than the standard Aventador Roadster.
The naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 was developed further, and the seven-speed ISR gearbox and Haldex all-wheel drive remain. Magnetorheological pushrod dampers are standard, and Lamborghini Dynamic Steering varies the steering ratio. Carbon fiber is used for the air vents, the bumpers and a rear wing that can be set by hand to three positions.
Inside, Lamborghini left out the sound deadening and the navigation system, so parts of the carbon monocoque are on show in the cabin. This page covers the SV coupe and the SV Roadster, which keeps the manually removable two-part carbon hardtop.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 740 hp and 509 lb-ft to 810 hp and 560 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 825 hp and 590 lb-ft.

Lamborghini cut weight, made magnetorheological pushrod suspension and variable-ratio steering standard, added a manually adjustable rear wing and stripped the cabin, and the V12 was developed further. The original LP 700-4 coupe and Roadster have their own page.
No. The SVJ came later and adds ALA 2.0 active aerodynamics with aero-vectoring, rear-wheel steering and a revised V12. The SV makes do with a wing that is adjusted by hand and has no rear-wheel steering. The SVJ has its own page.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2017 car, Stage 1 takes it from 740 hp to 810 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 825 hp.
