Plus Plus Calibration delivers Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG tuning nationwide, from the twin-turbo V8s of the C63, E63 S, G63 and AMG GT 63 to the six-cylinder 43 and 53 models. More than 40 models are in our online catalog, with TCU tunes for nearly all of them and CPC tunes for many recent cars.

A short history of Mercedes-AMG

AMG was founded in 1967 by Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher as an independent engine and racing specialist, and today it is Mercedes-Benz’s in-house performance division, Mercedes-AMG. Its V8 engines are hand-assembled in Affalterbach, each one by a single technician.

The current 63 models use a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with its turbochargers mounted inside the vee, which keeps the plumbing between turbo and engine short; earlier 63 models used a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8. The 53 models use a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six with mild-hybrid assistance, and most 43 models a twin-turbo V6.

Stage 1 Mercedes ECU tune

A Stage 1 calibration works with the factory hardware on pump fuel, reshaping boost targets, ignition timing and torque limits. In our online catalog, a 2024 G63 AMG goes from 577 hp to 760 hp at Stage 1.

Stage 2 Mercedes ECU tune with bolt-ons

Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. Our catalog lists the same G63 at 800 hp at Stage 2, and a 2023 E63 S goes from 604 hp to 800 hp.

Mercedes TCU and CPC tuning

Mercedes-Benz splits powertrain control across several modules. The TCU runs the automatic or multi-clutch gearbox, and on many recent models a CPC (central powertrain controller) coordinates the engine and transmission. A TCU tune raises the gearbox limits to match the engine calibration and sharpens the shifts; a CPC tune is offered where the car has a CPC module.

Both are ordered together with a Stage 1 or Stage 2 tune: ship the TCU or CPC with your ECU and we calibrate them together. Map switching is available for the AMG GT.

Mercedes-Benz tuning in our shop

Phoenix-area Mercedes-Benz owners can bring their car to our shop. There, every calibration is checked on our in-shop dyno, with before-and-after dyno sheets, full data logging of air-fuel ratios, boost and knock, a written summary of every change, and a short road drive to confirm drivability.
