A short history of Bentley

W. O. Bentley founded Bentley Motors in 1919, and the “Bentley Boys” won Le Mans five times between 1924 and 1930. Bentley has been part of the Volkswagen Group since 1998.

The Continental GT of 2003 introduced the 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 that defined the modern Bentley, and a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 joined it in 2012. Both power the Continental GT, Flying Spur and Bentayga, the brand’s SUV introduced in 2015.

Tuning the Bentley twin-turbo V8

A Stage 1 calibration works with the factory hardware on pump fuel, reshaping boost targets, ignition timing and torque limits; Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting modifications and high-octane fuel.

In our online catalog, a 2023 Bentayga V8 goes from 542 hp to 675 hp at Stage 1 and 720 hp at Stage 2.

Tuning the Bentley W12

The 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 has its own calibration. Our catalog lists a 2024 Flying Spur W12 at 740 hp at Stage 1 and 760 hp at Stage 2, from 626 hp stock. For the latest Continental GT and GTC, select your car to see what our catalog offers.

Bentley tunes in our catalog are ECU calibrations; there is no separate TCU add-on for these models.

Mail-in Bentley tuning

Mail-in tuning works from anywhere in the US. Order your Bentley tune online, ship us your ECU with your printed order confirmation email, and we calibrate it within two business days of receiving it, then ship it back at our cost. Inbound and return shipping transit time is not included.

Bentley tuning in our shop

Phoenix-area Bentley owners can bring their car to our shop. There, every calibration is checked on our in-shop dyno, with before-and-after dyno sheets, full data logging of air-fuel ratios, boost and knock, a written summary of every change, and a short road drive to confirm drivability.
