The car
The third-generation Flying Spur was unveiled in June 2019 with a W12, and Bentley added this V8 in October 2020, with first deliveries in the UK and Europe before the end of that year and other markets following in 2021. Bentley pitched it as the more agile choice: about 100 kg lighter than the W12 car, with better weight distribution.
The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 can switch off four cylinders in 20 milliseconds, which Bentley described as one tenth of a blink of an eye. It drives through an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and an active all-wheel-drive system that powers the rear axle and engages the front as conditions require. Electronic all-wheel steering and Bentley Dynamic Ride were options on the V8.
This page groups three V8 sedans. The standard car has quad exhaust finishers and V8 badges on its front fenders. The S, sold from 2022, adds black brightware, dark-tinted lamps, black tailpipes and a redesigned sports exhaust, while the Azure focuses on comfort, with wellness seating, front seats with up to 22 ways of adjustment and its own 22-inch wheels.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 549 hp and 568 lb-ft to 675 hp and 690 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 720 hp and 738 lb-ft.

No. The Flying Spur S and Azure were also sold with a V6 plug-in hybrid powertrain, but this page covers the 4.0-liter V8 cars only. If your Flying Spur is a hybrid, contact us before ordering.
The W12 cars, on their own page, reach 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and 207 mph, against 4.0 seconds and 198 mph for the V8. The V8 car is the lighter of the two, and it remained on sale after Bentley built its last W12 engine in 2024.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2024 car, Stage 1 takes it from 549 hp to 675 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 720 hp.
