About the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ / SVJ Roadster

The Aventador SVJ brought Lamborghini’s ALA active aerodynamics to the V12 car, in an optimized form called ALA 2.0, and in July 2018 the coupe set a lap record for production cars at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

ALA 2.0 opens and closes electronically actuated flaps in the front splitter and the engine hood, switching between high downforce and low drag, and aero-vectoring balances the aerodynamic load through corners. Lamborghini paired its variable-ratio Dynamic Steering with rear-wheel steering, and the magnetorheological pushrod suspension carries over from the SV. The 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12, with peak power now at 8,500 rpm, still drives all four wheels through the seven-speed ISR gearbox.

Lamborghini limited production to 900 coupes and 800 Roadsters, and each body style also had an SVJ 63 edition of 63 cars. The Roadster’s removable roof is molded in carbon fiber using a high-pressure RTM process.

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 759 hp and 531 lb-ft to 810 hp and 560 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 825 hp and 590 lb-ft.

FAQ

Aventador SVJ / SVJ Roadster tuning questions

More answers in our FAQ

Which years of the Aventador SVJ / SVJ Roadster does this tune fit?

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2018–2022 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ / SVJ Roadster models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.

What separates the SVJ from the earlier Aventador SV?

The SVJ adds the ALA 2.0 active aerodynamic system with aero-vectoring, rear-wheel steering, a redesigned front end, larger side skirts, an omega-shaped rear wing and higher exhaust outlets. The SV relies on a manually adjustable wing instead and has its own page.

How do the SVJ coupe and SVJ Roadster compare?

The Roadster swaps the fixed roof for a removable carbon-fiber top and weighs 50 kg more dry, at 1,575 kg. Lamborghini quotes 2.9 seconds to 100 km/h against 2.8 for the coupe and the same top speed of over 350 km/h. Only 800 Roadsters were built.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 on the Aventador SVJ / SVJ Roadster?

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2022 car, Stage 1 takes it from 759 hp to 810 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 825 hp.
