The car
AMR is the name Aston Martin gives its most performance-focused road cars, after its racing division, and in May 2018 the DB11 AMR became the flagship of the DB11 range. It keeps the coupe’s 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 and rear-wheel-drive layout but takes more power from it, and Aston Martin quotes 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 208 mph.
The changes went beyond the engine calibration. The rear-mounted eight-speed automatic received a new shift calibration, the exhaust became more vocal in Sport mode, and the chassis team under Matt Becker revised the suspension tuning. Visually, exposed carbon-fiber hood blades and side strakes, gloss-black and dark trim, smoked taillights and 20-inch forged wheels set it apart from the original DB11 V12.
It was built as a coupe only, and a run of 100 Signature Edition cars in Stirling Green with lime accents marked its launch.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 639 hp and 546 lb-ft to 775 hp and 740 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 790 hp and 760 lb-ft.

It is the same body and the same 5.2-liter engine, but Aston Martin uprated the AMR’s output, shift calibration, exhaust and chassis when it launched in 2018, so it is calibrated separately here. The original twelve-cylinder coupe has its own page, DB11 V12.
They share the bonded aluminum body and the rear-mounted eight-speed automatic, but the V8 car uses the smaller 4.0-liter Mercedes-AMG engine and was also offered as the Volante convertible, while the AMR is a V12 coupe only. The eight-cylinder car has its own page, DB11 V8.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2023 car, Stage 1 takes it from 639 hp to 775 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 790 hp.
