The car
Aston Martin’s smallest sports car changed character with this generation, revealed in November 2017. The previous Vantage used Aston’s own naturally aspirated V8, while this one has the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 supplied by Mercedes-AMG, set well back in a bonded aluminum structure derived from the DB11 but with around 70 percent new parts and a solidly mounted rear subframe.
An eight-speed ZF automatic sits at the rear for even weight distribution, and the Vantage was the first Aston Martin with an electronic rear differential, which can run anywhere from fully open to fully locked. Aston Martin quotes 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds for the coupe and a top speed of 195 mph.
The line widened over its life: the 2019 Vantage AMR brought a seven-speed manual with a dog-leg first gear, which then became an option for 2020 and 2021, and the Vantage Roadster followed in 2020. A heavily revised Vantage replaced it for the 2025 model year.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 503 hp and 505 lb-ft to 600 hp and 620 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 630 hp and 650 lb-ft.

The V12 Vantage is a limited run that puts the 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 in a wider version of this body, with carbon-fiber panels, much stiffer springs, standard carbon-ceramic brakes and a mechanical limited-slip differential instead of the electronic one. Only 333 coupes and 249 roadsters were built. It has its own page, V12 Vantage.
No. The Vantage revealed in February 2024 and sold in the US as a 2025 model is a substantially reworked car with a much more powerful version of the V8 and a new interior. This page is for the 2018-generation Vantage V8.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2024 car, Stage 1 takes it from 503 hp to 600 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 630 hp.
