About the Ferrari 812 GTS

Ferrari presented the 812 GTS in September 2019, exactly 50 years after the 365 GTS4 Daytona Spider, the last series-production Ferrari spider with a front-mounted V12. In between, the layout appeared only in limited special series: the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina, the Superamerica, the SA Aperta and the F60America.

It is the spider version of the 812 Superfast and takes its specifications from the coupe: the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 with its 8,900 rpm limit, the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, rear-wheel drive and the rear-wheel steering of Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0.

The retractable hard top opens in 14 seconds at speeds up to 45 km/h and takes no space from the cabin. Ferrari redesigned the whole rear of the car around it, with buttresses that give the side windows their own shape and a tonneau cover the roof panels fold beneath. An electric rear screen works as a wind stop when the top is down.

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 789 hp and 530 lb-ft to 860 hp and 615 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 915 hp and 640 lb-ft.

FAQ

812 GTS tuning questions

More answers in our FAQ

Which years of the 812 GTS does this tune fit?

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2023 Ferrari 812 GTS models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.

How does the 812 GTS differ from the 812 Superfast?

Only in the roof and the bodywork around it. The GTS keeps the Superfast’s V12, gearbox and chassis systems but adds the retractable hard top and a reshaped rear, and it is 75 kg heavier dry. Ferrari quotes 8.3 seconds to 200 km/h for the GTS and 7.9 for the coupe, which has its own page.

Which earlier Ferrari does the 812 GTS follow?

The 365 GTS4 of 1969, known as the Daytona Spider, was the last series-production Ferrari spider with a front V12 before the 812 GTS. Four limited-run V12 open cars came in between, but the GTS brought the layout back to the regular range.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 on the 812 GTS?

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2023 car, Stage 1 takes it from 789 hp to 860 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 915 hp.
