About the Ferrari 812 Superfast

Ferrari’s engineers started the 812 Superfast with a target: more specific output than the F12berlinetta’s V12. The answer was a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 with an 8,900 rpm limit, which Ferrari described as the most powerful engine it had fitted to a range model. Drive goes to the rear wheels through a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch gearbox.

The chassis introduced Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0, which builds on work done for the F12tdf and combines electric power steering with rear-wheel steering, all tied to version 5.0 of Side Slip Control. Electric steering also let Ferrari add functions that support the driver through the steering wheel.

Aerodynamic gains over the F12berlinetta come from three pairs of curved dams on the underbody, which supply 30% of the extra downforce, and a rear spoiler whose trailing edge sits 30 mm higher. This page covers the coupe; the open 812 GTS is listed separately.

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 789 hp and 530 lb-ft to 860 hp and 615 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 915 hp and 640 lb-ft.

FAQ

812 Superfast tuning questions

More answers in our FAQ

Which years of the 812 Superfast does this tune fit?

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2018–2023 Ferrari 812 Superfast models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.

What is the difference between the 812 Superfast and the 812 GTS?

The GTS is the spider, with a retractable hard top that opens in 14 seconds at up to 45 km/h and a redesigned rear deck. Engine, gearbox and steering systems are shared. Ferrari lists 1,525 kg dry for the Superfast and 1,600 kg for the GTS, which has its own page.

What does the 812 Superfast add over the F12berlinetta?

Displacement grows from 6.3 to 6.5 liters and the rev limit rises, and the 812 brings rear-wheel steering and electric power steering. Ferrari’s figures show 0–200 km/h in 7.9 seconds, against 8.5 for the F12berlinetta, which is covered on its own page.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 on the 812 Superfast?

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2023 car, Stage 1 takes it from 789 hp to 860 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 915 hp.
