The car
US deliveries of the 570S coupe, a member of McLaren’s Sports Series, began at the end of 2015 at prices from $184,900. It is built on a carbon-fiber MonoCell II tub weighing 75 kg (165 pounds), and lightest dry weight is 1,313 kg (2,895 pounds).
Power comes from the M838TE, McLaren’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 with 30 percent new components, a flat-plane crankshaft and dry-sump lubrication, sending drive to the rear wheels through a seven-speed SSG dual-clutch gearbox.
This page also covers the 570GT, the touring version delivered from late 2016. McLaren quotes 0–60 mph in 3.1 seconds for the 570S and a top speed of 204 mph for both cars.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 562 hp and 443 lb-ft to 730 hp and 650 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 765 hp and 700 lb-ft.

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2016–2021 McLaren 570S / 570GT models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.
The 570GT is set up for longer trips. A side-opening glass hatch covers a 220-liter (7.8 cubic foot) luggage deck behind the seats, the springs are 15 percent softer at the front and 10 percent at the rear, the steering is 2 percent slower, and it has a panoramic glass roof and a quieter exhaust. Engine and gearbox are shared.
The Spider adds a folding hard top to the same MonoCell II, without extra strengthening, and weighs about 101 pounds more. McLaren quotes the same 3.1 seconds to 60 mph and 204 mph with the roof up, or 196 mph with it lowered. First customer deliveries were in September 2017.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2021 car, Stage 1 takes it from 562 hp to 730 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 765 hp.
