The car

About the McLaren 600LT

McLaren developed the 600LT from the 570S and changed more than 23 percent of its parts. The body is 74 mm (2.9 inches) longer, and new carbon-fiber pieces, a front splitter, side sills, an extended diffuser and a fixed rear wing, generate 100 kg of downforce at 155 mph. The exhaust exits through short pipes on top of the rear deck.

Weight came out as well: lightest dry weight is 1,247 kg (2,749 pounds). McLaren quotes 0–60 mph in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 204 mph for the coupe, which was built for about 12 months from October 2018 and priced from $240,000 in the US.

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 592 hp and 457 lb-ft to 730 hp and 650 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 765 hp and 700 lb-ft.

FAQ

600LT tuning questions

More answers in our FAQ

Which years of the 600LT does this tune fit?

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2019–2021 McLaren 600LT models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.

What carries over from the 570S, and what is new?

The 3.8-liter M838TE twin-turbo V8, seven-speed SSG and MonoCell II tub carry over. The suspension uses forged double wishbones from the Super Series, the car rides 8 mm lower on a front track 10 mm wider, it runs on Pirelli Trofeo R tires, and its brake booster was inspired by the Senna’s.

Was the 600LT built as a Spider?

Yes. The 600LT Spider arrived in the US as a 2020 model with the coupe’s engine and running gear and a folding hard top that adds about 110 pounds. McLaren quotes the same 2.8 seconds to 60 mph, with top speeds of 201 mph roof up and 196 mph roof down.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 on the 600LT?

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2021 car, Stage 1 takes it from 592 hp to 730 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 765 hp.
