The car
Revealed in 2021 and sold in the US as a 2022 model, the 992.1 GT3 brought a double-wishbone front axle, adapted from the 911 RSR and GT3 Cup race cars, to a road-going 911, a milestone Porsche singles out. None of its suspension parts are shared with the 992 Carrera.
The 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six, first used in the 2019 911 Speedster and given new pistons here, revs to 9,000 rpm through six individual throttle bodies; Porsche calls it virtually identical to the engine of the 911 GT3 Cup race car. A seven-speed PDK built for the GT3 is standard and a six-speed manual is a no-cost option, though California buyers get PDK only.
Aerodynamics follow racing practice too: a swan-neck rear wing and a front diffuser adjust in stages, and even the normal setting makes up to 50 percent more downforce than the 991.2 GT3. Hood, wing and fixed rear spoiler are carbon fiber, and the car lapped the Nordschleife in 6:59.927, more than 17 seconds quicker than its predecessor.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 503 hp and 347 lb-ft to 570 hp and 405 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 610 hp and 420 lb-ft. The gearbox has its own controller and torque limits, so the optional TCU tune raises them to match, with sharper shifts and stronger clutch clamping.

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2021–2024 Porsche 911 GT3 (992.1) models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.
Yes. Porsche takes its engine, transmission, suspension, wheels and tires from the regular 911 GT3; the fixed wing gives way to an automatically extending rear spoiler. In this generation the Touring was offered with PDK for the first time, and in the US PDK is standard with the manual a no-cost option outside California.
The RS has a central radiator where the GT3 carries luggage, active front and rear wing elements with a drag reduction system and about three times the GT3’s downforce, and it comes only with PDK. It is listed separately as 911 GT3 RS (992.1).
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2024 car, Stage 1 takes it from 503 hp to 570 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 610 hp.
A TCU tune is available as an add-on ($1,500). It raises the transmission’s torque limits and sharpens the shifts so the gearbox can handle the extra power. Ship your TCU in the same box as your ECU.
