About the Porsche 911 S/T (992.1)

Porsche built the S/T for the 911’s 60th anniversary in 2023, limited to 1,963 cars. It combines the GT3 RS’s 4.0-liter, 9,000 rpm engine with the body of the GT3 with Touring Package, the first time that engine has been paired with a manual gearbox, and it was developed for fast road driving rather than the track.

A lightweight clutch and single-mass flywheel developed for this car cut rotating mass by about 23 lb, and the six-speed manual has shorter ratios than the GT3’s. Rear-axle steering is left off, making the S/T the only 992 to pair a double-wishbone front axle with a multi-link rear and no rear steer. The hood, roof, front fenders and doors are carbon fiber; magnesium wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, a lithium-ion battery and lightweight glass are standard, and at 3,056 lb it is the lightest 992.

The name recalls the 911 ST, a race-prepared 911 S that Porsche offered from 1969. An optional Heritage Design Package adds Shoreblue Metallic paint, Ceramica wheels, Classic Cognac cloth seat centers and door start numbers.

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 518 hp and 343 lb-ft to 570 hp and 405 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 610 hp and 420 lb-ft.

FAQ

911 S/T (992.1) tuning questions

More answers in our FAQ

Which years of the 911 S/T (992.1) does this tune fit?

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2023–2024 Porsche 911 S/T (992.1) models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.

How does the S/T differ from a 992.1 GT3 with Touring Package?

It uses the GT3 RS engine instead of the GT3’s, with a lightweight clutch, single-mass flywheel and shorter gearing, adds carbon doors, fenders and roof, and drops rear-axle steering. Porsche says it weighs nearly 70 lb less than a GT3 Touring. The GT3 is listed as 911 GT3 (992.1).

Is the S/T a GT3 RS without the wing?

Not quite. It shares the RS engine, but it uses the GT3 Touring body, so there is no fixed wing or drag reduction system, only an extending rear spoiler with a Gurney flap, and its dampers are set up for public roads. The RS is listed as 911 GT3 RS (992.1).

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 on the 911 S/T (992.1)?

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2024 car, Stage 1 takes it from 518 hp to 570 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 610 hp.
