The car
Short trips on electricity and a turbocharged V6 for longer ones: that is the brief of the Cayenne E-Hybrid, the plug-in model at the entry level of the E3 range. It reached the US for the 2019 model year as an SUV, and an E-Hybrid Coupe was added for 2020.
Its gasoline engine is the 3.0-liter single-turbo V6 of the base Cayenne, with an electric motor positioned between it and the eight-speed Tiptronic S, and all four wheels are driven. On electricity alone it can run at up to 83 mph; with both sources working it reaches 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and 157 mph.
Battery capacity depends on the year. Porsche enlarged the high-voltage pack of every plug-in Cayenne, Coupes included, from 14.1 to 17.9 kWh starting with the 2021 models.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 456 hp and 516 lb-ft to 550 hp and 595 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 570 hp and 615 lb-ft. The gearbox has its own controller and torque limits, so the optional TCU tune raises them to match, with sharper shifts and stronger clutch clamping.

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2019–2023 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid (E3.1) models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.
Both use the same 3.0-liter single-turbo V6 and Tiptronic S, but the E-Hybrid adds the electric motor and plug-in battery, so it can run on electricity and reaches 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, against 5.6 to 5.9 for the gasoline car. The base model is listed on a page of its own.
The Turbo S E-Hybrid follows the same plug-in layout but replaces the V6 with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and adds carbon-ceramic brakes, PDCC and Torque Vectoring Plus as standard. It is rated at 3.6 seconds to 60 mph and 183 mph, and it is listed on a separate page.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2023 car, Stage 1 takes it from 456 hp to 550 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 570 hp.
A TCU tune is available as an add-on ($1,999). It raises the transmission’s torque limits and sharpens the shifts so the gearbox can handle the extra power. Ship your TCU in the same box as your ECU.
