The car
Unlike the Panamera Turbo, which uses the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, the Cayenne Turbo sends its power through a torque-converter automatic, the eight-speed Tiptronic S, to all four wheels. It was the most powerful Cayenne when the E3 generation arrived for 2019, and a Turbo Coupe followed for 2020.
Hardware specific to the Turbo reflects its place in the range. Three-chamber air suspension is standard, as are Porsche Surface Coated Brakes, which made their debut on this Cayenne generation, and an adaptive roof spoiler doubles as an airbrake under hard braking. The 21-inch wheels carry 285-section tires at the front and 315 at the rear.
Rear-axle steering and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control were on the options list, as was the Sport Chrono Package, which takes a further two tenths off the 0–60 mph time.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 541 hp and 568 lb-ft to 675 hp and 690 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 720 hp and 738 lb-ft. The gearbox has its own controller and torque limits, so the optional TCU tune raises them to match, with sharper shifts and stronger clutch clamping.

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2019–2023 Porsche Cayenne Turbo (E3.1) models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.
The Turbo GT is a Coupe-only derivative with a reworked version of this V8, a titanium exhaust, carbon-ceramic brakes and a ride height 17 mm lower than the Turbo Coupe. The Cayenne Turbo was sold as an SUV and a Coupe. Our catalog gives the GT its own page and figures.
The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid (E3.1) adds an electric motor between the V8 and the gearbox plus a plug-in battery, so it is a separate page in our catalog. Here we cover only the gasoline Cayenne Turbo SUV and Turbo Coupe.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2023 car, Stage 1 takes it from 541 hp to 675 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 720 hp.
A TCU tune is available as an add-on ($1,999). It raises the transmission’s torque limits and sharpens the shifts so the gearbox can handle the extra power. Ship your TCU in the same box as your ECU.
