The car
Taking the Cayenne Turbo’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and adding an electric motor and a plug-in battery, the Turbo S E-Hybrid sits at the top of the E3 Cayenne range by system output. Porsche introduced it as an SUV and a Coupe at the same time, after the Cayenne E-Hybrid had first used the layout with a V6.
The motor sits between the engine and the eight-speed Tiptronic S, and all four wheels are driven. The battery held 14.1 kWh at launch and 17.9 kWh from the 2021 model year.
Its standard equipment goes beyond the Turbo’s: carbon-ceramic brakes, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, Torque Vectoring Plus and the Sport Chrono Package, plus a 7.2 kW onboard charger and 21-inch AeroDesign wheels.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 671 hp and 664 lb-ft to 805 hp and 786 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 830 hp and 800 lb-ft. The gearbox has its own controller and torque limits, so the optional TCU tune raises them to match, with sharper shifts and stronger clutch clamping.

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2019–2023 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid (E3.1) models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.
The V8 and gearbox are shared, but the Turbo S E-Hybrid adds the electric motor and battery, which lift its combined output above the Turbo’s and make it a tenth quicker to 60 mph with Sport Chrono. It also adds carbon-ceramic brakes and PDCC as standard. The Turbo has its own page.
The Turbo GT has no hybrid system and less combined output, yet it is the quicker car, reaching 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and 186 mph against 3.6 seconds and 183 mph for this one. The GT is Coupe-only and has its own page.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2023 car, Stage 1 takes it from 671 hp to 805 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 830 hp.
A TCU tune is available as an add-on ($1,999). It raises the transmission’s torque limits and sharpens the shifts so the gearbox can handle the extra power. Ship your TCU in the same box as your ECU.
