About the Porsche Macan GTS (95B.1)

Late in 2015 Porsche added a GTS to the Macan range, between the S and the Turbo. It follows the recipe the GTS name carries elsewhere in the lineup: more power than the S, a lower and firmer chassis, a standard sport exhaust and black exterior trim.

Under the hood is the Macan S’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 at a higher output, with the same seven-speed PDK and all-wheel drive. PASM is standard and lowers the body by 15 millimeters, and 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels carry 265/45 front and 295/45 rear tires, wider than those of the S. Front brake rotors grow from 350 mm on the S to 360 mm.

It needs 5.0 seconds to reach 60 mph, or 4.8 with Sport Chrono, and tops out at 159 mph, Porsche says. GTS sport seats with Alcantara center panels come standard.

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 355 hp and 369 lb-ft to 400 hp and 460 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 415 hp and 490 lb-ft. The gearbox has its own controller and torque limits, so the optional TCU tune raises them to match, with sharper shifts and stronger clutch clamping.

FAQ

Macan GTS (95B.1) tuning questions

More answers in our FAQ

Which years of the Macan GTS (95B.1) does this tune fit?

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2015–2018 Porsche Macan GTS (95B.1) models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.

Why does this GTS use the 3.0-liter engine rather than the Turbo’s 3.6?

The first GTS was developed from the Macan S, so it keeps that car’s 3.0-liter V6 and raises its output, while the Macan Turbo (95B.1) has a larger 3.6-liter V6 with a longer stroke. Mechanically the GTS sits closer to the S, but it is a separate catalog entry.

How is the later Macan GTS (95B.2) different?

The facelifted GTS, revealed at the end of 2019, moved to a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 and made adaptive air suspension standard. It also has the full-width LED rear light of the 95B.2 generation, and its own page.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 on the Macan GTS (95B.1)?

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2018 car, Stage 1 takes it from 355 hp to 400 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 415 hp.

Do I need a TCU tune for the Macan GTS (95B.1)?

A TCU tune is available as an add-on ($1,999). It raises the transmission’s torque limits and sharpens the shifts so the gearbox can handle the extra power. Ship your TCU in the same box as your ECU.
