About the Porsche Macan S (95B.3)

For the last update of the combustion Macan, the S inherited the outgoing GTS’s engine: a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 replacing the 3.0-liter single-turbo unit of the 95B.2 Macan S. Porsche also made PASM adaptive dampers standard on the S.

Paired with the seven-speed PDK and all-wheel drive, the new engine cut the 0–60 mph time with Sport Chrono to 4.4 seconds, half a second quicker than the 2021 Macan S, according to Porsche, with a top speed of 160 mph.

In the 95B.3 range the S sits between the four-cylinder Macan and Macan T and the GTS, which uses a stronger version of the same V6 on standard air suspension. Standard wheel sizes across the range grew to between 19 and 21 inches, and the side blades gained a textured three-dimensional finish.

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 375 hp and 384 lb-ft to 530 hp and 630 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 550 hp and 650 lb-ft. The gearbox has its own controller and torque limits, so the optional TCU tune raises them to match, with sharper shifts and stronger clutch clamping.

FAQ

Macan S (95B.3) tuning questions

More answers in our FAQ

Which years of the Macan S (95B.3) does this tune fit?

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2022–2024 Porsche Macan S (95B.3) models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.

Is this the engine from the Macan GTS (95B.2)?

Yes, it is the same 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 that powered the facelifted GTS, which explains the close factory figures. The 95B.3 Macan S is still a different car in styling, chassis and electronics, so it has its own catalog entry and page.

How does it differ from the Macan GTS (95B.3)?

The GTS of the same generation runs a more powerful version of the 2.9-liter V6, rides on standard adaptive air suspension 10 millimeters lower and up to 15 percent stiffer than before, and reaches 169 mph against this car’s 160 mph.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 on the Macan S (95B.3)?

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2024 car, Stage 1 takes it from 375 hp to 530 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 550 hp.

Do I need a TCU tune for the Macan S (95B.3)?

A TCU tune is available as an add-on ($1,999). It raises the transmission’s torque limits and sharpens the shifts so the gearbox can handle the extra power. Ship your TCU in the same box as your ECU.
