About the Rolls-Royce Dawn

Rolls-Royce unveiled the Dawn online in September 2015 as a new kind of super-luxury convertible, created for what it called the most social open-top motoring experience for four people. Unlike many convertibles it is a full four-seater, with individual seats for every occupant, and the company says it attracted a new type of client, younger and keen to drive.

Underneath it is closely related to the Wraith coupe, sharing its 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12, ZF eight-speed automatic, rear-wheel drive and rear-hinged coach doors. Most of the body is new, however, with a fabric roof replacing the Wraith’s fastback.

A Black Badge version followed in 2017 and is listed on its own page. Like the Wraith, the Dawn went out of production in 2023.

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 563 hp and 605 lb-ft to 700 hp and 700 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 730 hp and 750 lb-ft.

FAQ

Dawn tuning questions

More answers in our FAQ

Which years of the Dawn does this tune fit?

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2013–2023 Rolls-Royce Dawn models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.

How does the Dawn differ from the Wraith?

The Dawn is the open-top sibling of the Wraith coupe. It keeps the 6.6-liter V12, eight-speed automatic and coach doors, but swaps the fastback roof for a fabric top and seats four in individual chairs. The Wraith has its own page and its own factory figures.

When was the Dawn built?

Rolls-Royce revealed the Dawn in September 2015 and built it until 2023, with the same 6.6-liter V12 and eight-speed automatic throughout. The darker, more powerful Dawn Black Badge is listed separately.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 on the Dawn?

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2023 car, Stage 1 takes it from 563 hp to 700 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 730 hp.
