The car
The eighth-generation Phantom, revealed in July 2017 with deliveries from January 2018, is the Rolls-Royce flagship and the first model built on the brand’s aluminum spaceframe architecture, later shared with the Cullinan and the second-generation Ghost. It replaced the Phantom VII, which had been in production since 2003.
Unlike those later cars, it keeps rear-wheel drive, combined with four-wheel steering. Its twin-turbo 6.75-liter V12 delivers full torque from 1,700 rpm through a ZF eight-speed automatic linked to satellite navigation data, and the self-leveling air suspension is guided by the Flagbearer stereo cameras, which scan the road surface ahead.
Inside, The Gallery places a glass-covered panel across the dashboard, behind which owners can display a commissioned artwork. The Phantom was built in two lengths, with the Extended adding 220 mm of wheelbase.
On a 2025 car, Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 563 hp and 664 lb-ft to 715 hp and 715 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 745 hp and 760 lb-ft.

The Phantom VII, built from 2003 to 2017, used a naturally aspirated 6.75-liter V12 and an aluminum frame of its own. The Phantom VIII introduced a twin-turbo V12, four-wheel steering and the new spaceframe that later Rolls-Royce models share. Our catalog lists the Phantom VIII only.
Yes. Our catalog lists the Phantom VIII from 2018 to 2025, and the Series II update of 2022 is part of the eighth generation. It revised the grille, headlamps and wheel designs but kept the 6.75-liter V12 and eight-speed gearbox.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2025 car, Stage 1 takes it from 563 hp to 715 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 745 hp.
