The car
Black Badge reached the convertible in 2017, a year after the Ghost and Wraith, when Rolls-Royce added the Dawn Black Badge. It applies the series’ darker treatment to the four-seat open car: darkened chrome on the grille and trim, a black Spirit of Ecstasy, Black Badge wheels and carbon fiber interior trim in place of the standard finishes.
Mechanically, the 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 makes more power and torque than in the standard Dawn, and Rolls-Royce recalibrated the eight-speed automatic and throttle to make the most of it. As on the other Black Badge cars, the Low button on the gear selector unlocks a more responsive setting, and a distinctive exhaust gives the car a deeper voice.
Dawn production, including the Black Badge, ended in 2023.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 593 hp and 620 lb-ft to 700 hp and 700 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 730 hp and 750 lb-ft.

It has higher factory power and torque figures, a sharper gearbox and throttle calibration, a recalibrated Low mode and its own exhaust, along with the dark chrome, black Spirit of Ecstasy and carbon fiber cabin trim that mark every Black Badge car. The standard convertible is on the Dawn page.
No. The fabric roof, coach doors and four individual seats are the same as on the standard Dawn. Black Badge changes the finishes, wheels, exhaust and the calibration of the engine, gearbox and throttle, not the body.
Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2023 car, Stage 1 takes it from 593 hp to 700 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 730 hp.
