The car

About the Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge

Already the most performance-focused Rolls-Royce of its day, the Wraith was one of the two cars, with the Ghost, that launched Black Badge at Geneva in 2016. The Black Badge version keeps the fastback body and coach doors but takes on a darker look, with darkened chrome, a high-gloss black Spirit of Ecstasy and a cabin trimmed in aluminum-threaded carbon fiber with blue accents.

Peak power is unchanged from the standard Wraith, but Rolls-Royce raised the torque, sharpened the eight-speed automatic and throttle calibration and overhauled the air suspension for more control. The Low button was recalibrated to reach an extra reserve of performance, and composite wheels with 22 layers of carbon fiber folded into the rim were developed for the series.

Wraith production ended in 2023 with the Black Badge Black Arrow, a Bespoke collection of just 12 cars.

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and takes it from 623 hp and 642 lb-ft to 700 hp and 700 lb-ft on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 is calibrated for supporting bolt-on modifications and high-octane fuel, for 730 hp and 750 lb-ft.

FAQ

Wraith Black Badge tuning questions

More answers in our FAQ

Which years of the Wraith Black Badge does this tune fit?

Our online catalog lists Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes for 2016–2022 Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge models. Choose your year at the top of the page; the figures and prices are the same for every year.

Which Wraith Black Badge cars does this page cover?

Our catalog lists the Wraith Black Badge from 2016, the year the series was introduced, through 2022. Standard Wraiths have a separate page because their factory torque figure is lower.

How does the Wraith Black Badge differ from the Dawn Black Badge?

They share the 6.6-liter V12, the eight-speed automatic and much of the running gear, but the Wraith is a fixed-roof fastback with higher factory outputs, while the Dawn is a four-seat convertible with a fabric roof. The Dawn Black Badge has its own page.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 on the Wraith Black Badge?

Stage 1 is calibrated for the car as it left the factory and runs on pump-grade fuel. Stage 2 pairs the calibration with supporting bolt-on modifications such as downpipes and runs on high-octane fuel. On a 2022 car, Stage 1 takes it from 623 hp to 700 hp. Stage 2 takes it to 730 hp.
